Life lines is an abstract artwork using home made flower dyed Irish linen and foraged charcoal and pigment marks along with home made botanical inks; coffee, oak gall and tea adhered to a wooden panel 76 x 50 cm
Red thread tie together two sections to represent family and friends and how they are life lines, without them I’d be truly lost.
The linen has been cleansed with sage shown with burn marks. It’s roots in Native American tradition, cleanses of negative energy to generate wisdom and clarity and promote healing.
I like to feel closer to nature through my art being more sustainable and feeling more spiritual and emotional with my processes
